E- Commerce boom during the Covid- 19 pandemic

The Corona Virus pandemic made people stay at home and as result buying essentials online increased rapidly through a curse to the world the e-commerce sector is experiencing a boom .

 The process of buying and selling of goods and services using the internet and the transfer of money and data to execute these transactions is known as e-commerce . People now a days are highly relied on e- commerce as they want to maintain social distancing in August 2020 the online sales reached 63 billion dollars and the first eight months of 2020 generated 497 billion dollars  on online sales according to adobe .

All over the world people need facemasks, gloves, sanitizers and immunity booster medicines as the demand in the health industry is huge and the supply is less there is a lot of dependency on online services due to  lockdown people have started feeling depressed and anxious and they consult psychiatrists online as well .

 E- learning is also a part of E- Commerce and amidst this lockdown schools and universities conduct courses online.In general the public also is enhancing knowledge through websites like udemy  cousera, edx and many more .

The online gaming industry also is the new source of entertainment . Netflix , Prime , YouTube and many more are the online streaming services that are new sources of entertainment with an increase  in numbers of bloggers as well . Instead of going out to eat people prefer to order food online and eat safely at their residence .

The pandemic has still not ended and the profits in the e-commerce industry will be reflected only after the situation normalizes .According to the current situation E- Commerce is experiencing a growth in the online merchants have gained an extra 107 billion dollars in 2020.
